Dumes.Net
At the top of the tree are brothers Chaim (A), Jossel-Leib (B) and Schender (C). Each generation adds a letter; the letter represents your birth order, A for the 1st, B for the 2nd, etc.
So Sarah, first child of Chaim, is AA. Her husband, Jacob Kaplan, is Aa, the lower-case a indicating that he married into the Dumes family.
I've also used the lower-case letter for my two step-sons to indicate a non-bloodline Dumes relationship.

Sometimes referred to as Hyman George.
Stan Dumes had listed June 06, 1904 as the date of death in the database, but the resolution created by the children of Hyman George Dumes and Sadie Silk at the time of her death state it as Feb 20, 1904.
However, the gravestone itself says he died on the Hebrew date 24th day of Shebat (or Shevat), 5664. That would correspond to Feb 10, 1904, so that's what I'm going to use.
We now have the death record for Chaim. He died of what translates as typhoid, though there was no epidemic in Vishki. According to the death record, his death was reported on Feb 1, 1905 (Jan 15 on the Julian calendar). But that could have been when the death was registered, which might have been some time after.
