There's something about color. The original version of this photo looks like it could be some family in The Grapes of Wrath, struggling to get food on the table. But the color version brings out the familial warmth. The little girl is Lillian Dumes Zoll, daughter of Louis and Rebecca Stein Dumes. The older boy is their eldest son, Hy Dumes. Lillian was born in 1922, so this is perhaps '24 or '25?
